Martin Fieldman

Managing Director

Martin established Abodebed in July 2007, having discovered a need for quality, serviced accommodation to serve the growing business community in Hemel Hempstead. Starting with 3 apartments, the reputation of Abodebed has spread throughout the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire areas and now guests, both business and leisure alike, have a choice of more than 25 apartments.  Since launch, Martin has welcomed guests from all corners of the globe.  Martin thrives on ensuring that Abodebed continues to grow, whilst maintaining the high service standards that our many repeat guests have come to expect.  Martin’s favourite hobby is socialising, which is why he really enjoys running Abodebed, as he gets to meet new and interesting people from around the world on a daily basis! And that really doesn’t feel like work!

Alison Murray

Reservations Manager

Alison joined the team in September 2008 as Reservations Manager.  Alison’s extensive background as a Board Level PA and Office Manager means she is very well placed to indulge her organisational skills and brings an air of calm across all aspects of the business.  Alison is a keen traveller so knows a thing or two about staying ‘at someone else’s place’ and is keen to ensure that guests feel completely at home when staying in an Abodebed apartment.  Alison has lived in Hemel Hempstead with her family for the past 20 years and is waiting for the kids to leave home so she can continue with the ‘travel bug’ (sorry kids!).

Gill Parkins

Reservations

Gill joined the Reservations Team in March 2010.  Having worked for 25 years in the legal profession at senior partner level, it was imperative that her organisational and communication skills were structured and clear.  Having now been at the ‘front desk’ of Abodebed for a few years, she has been able to flourish in her position.

Gill is a firm believer in listening, understanding and delivering a warm and valued service to all our guests.  As a favourite pasttime she likes to cook, read and keep her young family in check!

Gunars Berzins

Head of Housekeeping

Gunars joined the merry band in May 2011 as Head of Housekeeping, and has since seen a significant growth in the number of apartments under his control. He has also seamlessly taken over full control of our laundry management. Gunars is originally from Latvia and worked in Sweden and Scotland prior to relocating to England. Gunars is very popular with both staff and guests alike, and they much appreciate his close attention to the cleanliness and comfort of their apartments.
