When you request or book an apartment with us we need to collect personal information about you in order to process the request or booking and provide you with the service you expect. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, contact details, date of birth, address and your credit/debit card details. We may collect additional information in connection with your participation in any promotions or competitions offered by us and information you provide when giving us feedback.
We also use analytical and statistical tools that monitor details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access, including but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data (but this data will not identify you personally).
We use Google products including: Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Adwords. We use these products to understand how the website is being used in order to improve the user experience. User data is all anonymous. Disclosure of personal data
We do not sell or exchange your personal data with organisations who may want to sell you something or use your personal data for research or other purposes. We may disclose your information to regulatory bodies to enable us to comply with the law and to assist fraud protection and minimise credit risk.
We have an outsourced support team which includes Virtual Assistants, Web Designers, Sales and Marketing and Accounting. They have limited access to your data, where the service they provide to us means they need it. Your information is held in the strictest confidence and our support team are all contracted to strict confidentiality clauses.
Where we store and transfer your data
As a small business, we use a tailor made booking system for all booking related administration, and we use mainstream packages for email and accounting. This means that some of your data may be held in the EEA and some may be held in services in the USA (with suitable data privacy shields) or elsewhere. We have picked mainstream suppliers with appropriate security standards.
The transmission of information via the internet or email is not completely secure. However, we have put security measures in place by installing a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) on our website which encrypts all data submitted via the online contact forms and web forms and protects your personal data. We cannot guarantee the security of data while you are transmitting it to our site; any such transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal data, we will use our strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
In accordance with data protection laws and good commercial practice, we do not retain personal information in a form that permits identification of the person(s) to whom it relates for any longer than necessary. Once the purpose for which the information has been collected has been fulfilled, we will either permanently delete your personal information, or remove all identifiers within it so that it is no longer personal data.
