We are delighted to announce that we have become a Partner of Visit Herts, the official tourism service for the county.

Visit Herts’ award-winning website provides visitors to the county with a comprehensive list of places to visit, things to do, place to eat and accommodation, including us of course!

It doesn’t matter if you’re visiting Hertfordshire or living here, it’s worth looking at the website’s what’s on listings, directories of tourist attractions, and places to eat and drink etc.

And if you’re kicking your heels one weekend and aren’t sure what you want to do, it also has themed suggestions to inspire you. Maybe you’ve got family or friends visiting Hemel and want to organise days out, visit historical attractions, or look for a place to have a lovely afternoon tea – visitherts.co.uk will be a good place to start.

What to do in Dacorum

Hemel Hempstead is in the borough of Dacorum which has plenty of places to visit if you’re in the area. Historical attractions include the deer park at Ashridge Estate, or Apsley Paper Mill.

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, Hemel Hempstead’s XC has a skateboard and BMX park, climbing walls, high ropes activity and even a caving system. If you like the cold, the famous Snow Centre will be the place to go skiing, snowboarding, freestyling and, of course, après skiing.

Or maybe you’re just looking for the local sports space where you can swim, play tennis or wind down with a yoga class. You can even hire an electric bike (is that cheating?) and go on a guided tour of the area.

And after all that activity, use the directory to search for places to eat and drink as you wind down and check out future events you’d like to go to.
