CSR

As a company and as individuals we have always taken an active role in supporting local businesses and charities. Managing Director Martin Fieldman said: “I feel lucky that Abodebed has done so well. It’s a privilege to be in a position to be able to give back and help out the local community”.

At the moment, our CSR focus is on local business support agencies, as well as charities which do incredible work supporting local people in need.

Community Support

The Hospice of St Francis

We are a Gold Sponsor of the Hospice of St Francis which provides care for people with life-limiting illnesses in the West Herts and South Bucks area. By making a monthly contribution, we’re not only supporting a very worthy cause, we are part of their Corporate Partner Network. The Hospice run regular networking events for their partners as a thank you for their support and fundraising activities.

DENS (Action Against Homelessness)

DENS provides help and support for the homeless and those who are at risk of homelessness. When we recently equipped all our apartments with Hypnos Beds, we donated a lot of good quality beds to the charity. From time to time we also donate a lot of consumables for the people who use DENS, such as personal hygiene products, toilet rolls etc – it’s not glamorous but it is essential. 

We were also pleased to have been able to help out a family who, through no fault of their own, were in need of emergency accommodation. As luck would have it, when DENS came to us for help, one of our apartments was unoccupied and we were happy to let they have it free of charge for a few days whilst alternative arrangements were made.
